Born out of a deep appreciation for natural spaces, Heartwood Land Management is committed to sustainable land development and conservation. Our journey began in 2012, building trails for Georgia's state park system and local land trusts, and eventually evolved into a full-fledged business offering a range of land management services. With more than a decade of industry experience, we handle each project with utmost care, efficiency, and adherence to professional standards.
Our certifications include a Georgia Land Disturbance License, Georgia Septic Installation License, and GSWCC Level 1A. These credentials and our passion for land conservation make us a trusted partner in land management services.

Meet Our Founder
Fresh out of college in 2012, I never imagined that a job with the Lula Lake Land Trust would redefine my career. That opportunity on Lookout Mountain launched a hands-on education in sustainable land management, trail building, and conservation. What started as a passion for the outdoors—hiking, hunting, biking, and climbing—quickly evolved into a foundation for a thriving excavation and land services business.
After several years of daily work in trail construction and forest management, I saw an opportunity to turn my favorite hobbies into a business. Rooted in hard work and a commitment to quality, I launched my own company. Thanks to a growing portfolio of clients who believed in my vision, the business expanded into a full-service clearing, excavation, and specialty land management company. Today, we proudly serve the greater Chattanooga and North Georgia areas.
Our team specializes in excavation, grading, land clearing, drainage solutions, and site preparation, offering custom solutions for homeowners, developers, and landowners. As the Chattanooga area continues to expand, so does the demand for professional land services, and we're proud to have grown alongside it. Over the years, we've provided employment for more than 30 individuals, building a team known for its integrity, skill, and reliability.
Our mission is twofold: to provide exceptional service to our clients and to invest in our team. We measure our success not just by our business growth, but by our ability to help our employees develop into confident and capable individuals.
